The company is now certified by IFS in the field of quality management as an IFS Broker. Through the introduction of a new merchandise management system the traceability of goods and a more reliable monitoring of the supply chain is ensured. Additionally, through effective customer relationship management (CRM) long term relationships with suppliers and customers are continuously optimized.

2011
Constant business growth requires a further increase in the number of employees. In particular, the staff is reinforced in the areas of sales, processing and quality management/food technology.

2010-2009
The business steadily continues to grow. The product range is once more expanded and the number of employees continues to grow. Starting in 2010,
the company begins to train apprentices. Furthermore, the quality management department increasingly gains significance and efforts to strengthen this development are initiated. As a result, the company receives the BCS organic certification in 2010.

On 1 January 2008, the legal status of the company is changed from HG Food Handelsagentur to HG Food GmbH. As a result of a rising business volume and an increasing employee quantity, the company moves to its present headquarters. Within the same year, the firm pursues further expansion to international markets.

HG Food Handelsagentur is founded on 12 July 2004 as a sole proprietorship situated in Ritterhude. More than 20 years of experience in the importation and distribution of fruits and vegetables as primary products for the food processing industry and long-standing industry contacts combined with a high level of industry expertise all ensure that the client base expands steadily from the outset.
